Redneck Report

Okay, our mullet wearing, mouth breathing redneck neighbor dumped a load of bricks in front of our house on the State Road right-of-way.

He is a brick mason just in case I was mistaken. It was fairly easy to match.

So I called the Highway Patrol and they were highly pissed off to hear about this idiot giving them more trouble about the right of way.

Then I called the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Waste Management. Likewise they were pissed too.

Then I made a quick call to the county Department of Commerce to request a business inspection. It seems you have to deal with solid waste by the law. You can’t just dump your business crap anywhere, even on you own property.

As usual, the local folks are slow to respond and want to dump the responsibility on someone else.

2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Rednecks...ughh. I know the type and I had a giggle to myself at all the phone calls you made about him. Sounds like something I would do!
FYI - I checked out your blog once you left me a comment and now I read it everyday - however now that I discovered you have a web cam in your office I check that everyday too (I'm not stalking you, I promise!). I've only seen you at your desk once and the cyclone of papers never seems to be cleaned up. Seeing your office is like looking in the mirror, how very similar we are!

Hi Ali,

I swear I’m at my desk sometimes.

I played golf Wednesday, drove to Raleigh on Thursday, and sulked at the stock market in front of the cam most of today.

I am the world’s biggest procrastinator so those papers represent about two weeks of unopened mail and reports.

We have a horse from Manitoba. He was shipped down from some horse farm where they raised PMU horses. We saved him from certain doom. His name is Cotton and he now has a Southern whinny.

I found your blog looking for other true Gemini heads. You’ve got one for sure.
