Welcome to My New Office

This is the view from my desk. Gigi picked the wall color and I love it. My sister painted the three pictures, Full Moon Beach Bar (St. Croix) on the right, the Lutheran Church (St Croix), and a view from a porch at Cherry Grove Beach, SC on the left.

Looking from the front of my desk. There are pictures of my dogs, Carolina Panther stuff from the year they went to the Super Bowl, Appalachian State SI cover when we beat Michigan, my love of shrimp, etc.

This is to the left of my desk. Again two more paintings from my sister of Peaches as a puppy and as an adult. On the table is part of the floor from the old Woolen Gym at UNC. To the right is a tiny shrimp named Bobby Edwards. He is maybe 8 years old and lives in that little sphere.

To the right looking out the window. This used to be Eastern Airline Reservation center. Gigi worked there for 13 years. They went out of business way back with Pan Am and TWA. They are supposed to build some residential and retail buildings there.

Finally, my cozy seating area in front of the desk. That is where I sit for Presidential looking photo ops. So far the press has not come by but I am ready. There is a deck of cards in that drawer. The tin fish is sitting on an empty box from some Cuban Cigars. I don't smoke , but having an empty Cuban Cigar box makes me feel worldly and naughty all at once.

It's very pretty - in a manly man kind of way, of course!

Nice digs, Wreggie! I could definitely do some blogging in that space!

Are you feeling better?

that is a fine looking office dude! - I love the windows. I gotta figure out how to rearrange my office so I can glance up and out of my window in deep thought.

Pretty snazzy office there dude.

Wait ... where's the flat screen TV?? Dude, you gotta have a TV! How are you gonna watch the Rock of Love II marathons and then Oprah without a TV in the office? ;-)

I do have a TV. There is a card in my PC that runs thru Windows Media Center. It also acts as a DVR too.

My last office had a big bulky TV and I cast it off to my mother in law.

Now I run TV covertly.

Kuckie, so far so good on the stone pains. They stopped yesterday afternoon.

That is a beautiful office. You did a good job getting settled and getting rid of stuff you didn't need anymore. GiGi did a nice job framing my paintings. She could go into the framing business.

Is that a little stainless steel boat doo-dad on the left and a classic Land Rover nameplate on the right of the top shelf behind your desk in the second picture?

Reggie Hunnicutt said...

Okay Michael, Yes that is the stainless doo-dad you and Terry gave me and the Rover plate I got just the other day is on the right.

Now swear you won't tell Terry...that is a piece of Cruzan brain coral on that right side too. It was on the beach, I didn't break it off or anything foolish.

I also have some Cruzan dirt in my desk in a container that I got from Shoys back on '03.

Doc, we should meet since we live in the same county.

My lips are sealed ;)

So, when you're really jonesin' for an island fix, do you close your eyes, imagine you're on St. Croix, prostate yourself and kiss that little container of Cruzan dirt?

Reggie Hunnicutt said...

jonesin' ... I wonder if the young folks know what jonesin' is.

Yes I look at the dirt from time to time...it doesn't make me a bad person.

Very nice office Reggie...love the windows!! But...is that a MAC sticker on your HP computer??

Reggie Hunnicutt said...

Yes it is. I just couldn't throw away that sticker that came with my iPod iTouch.

I stuck the other sticker on my outboard motor.
