Breakfast

Not to be outdone by my snotty nosed little nephew I too decided to have my hand at making bagels.

The finished product….not bad.

Here the dough is resting after kneading and dividing.

Boiling.....

After they are boiled and ready for the oven.

I can now bake decent bread, bagels and make damn good beer. This knowledge will come in handy one day when I open Wreggie Legend’s Provision Company of St Croix

Wow, thanks for showing me up! I have these wrangly skinny ass massive holed bagels and yours look straight out of the bakery!!

ha ha, you got some really good shape on those though seriously. I need to work on that part. They look delicious! How did you like them?

This Sunday I am gonna try my hand at new flavors mixed in. Apple cinnamon, jalapeno cheddar and maybe cinnamon and raisin!

Well honestly I wanted to avoid wrangly skinny ass massive holed bagels myself so I was careful in the formation.

I cheated a bit from the recipe and and fused the two ends by pinching the dough.

They were good. I think they could have used a bit more salt and sugar.

My father in law ate 3 in one sitting.

What do we try next Jay?

I love a good bagel, with lots of butter, and some honey.

Nice work.

I'm WAY impressed with both of you!! Now, you've got me wanting to make them. Doubt mine will turn out but it might be fun to try. Thanks for the recipe link.

You'd think a real "man bagel" wouldn't have any holes in it at all.

Umm no...it's an island or two over...and I think I was wrong...it's called Cruz Bay Watersports. His name is Mark Johnston over on St. John.

Hope...I asked someone who goes to St John and they were familiar with the company.

I can see St John from St Croix on a clear day when I'm there but have never been there.

There is so much to do on St Croix that I haven't had a need to leave.

Terry- Now that we have souvlaki, we need a bagel man here.
Hard to resist when they're hot out of the water.

They look good to me- makes me think of NY.
