Death of a Blog

I looked in my Google reader this morning and looked at the dozen of blogs I have followed over the years, most of which are dormant now. Some I really liked and some just never caught on to my fancy.

Terri has moved twice and I think Teresa has too. I don’t mind moving urls but I do mind seeing a once vibrant blog dry up and wither.

I’ve seen several people quit and then come back at a different angle and a new title. That’s fine. I like to see a continuance of what ever made you get out there and write.

For me….I guess I‘m old school now. I keep plugging away almost daily at my observations, my sick stabs at humor, my joys and low points.

I soooo regret shutting down my Logziella blog. At the time I felt I had to...security was breached. LOL!! But now I wish I had stuck it out.

I was reluctant to shut down my old blog, but it was necessary. It was kind of like saying goodbye to an old friend.

BUT... I'm still writing and I'm less worried about work people reading, so it's all good I guess.

I do find it sad when blogs I've followed for a long time just slowly fizzle out.

I love blogs. Yours is great. I know my brother better because of it.

I want to post in my blog, but never seem to make the time.

Ya know, I just get tired of writing the same old stuff..."We had a great dinner at (name any St. Croix restaurant)" ; "...Went to Buck Island and snorkeled with another beautiful nurse shark..." ; "Having a good hair day" - oh wait, I never blog about my hair - that's for FB...

Life is so boringly wonderful sometimes....

Blogging is sometimes a chore, and there was a really long spell of crappy stuff going on that I didn't want potential guests of SunDog House to know about (police issues, neighborhood noise -which is gone now - thank goodness. Oh, I should write about that!)

Oh, and menopause - that's always a "must read"! Yes! Everyone wants to know about that! Let me get started.....

I love blogs, even the boring stuff that some blogers write about. It is life shared. I always wished I wasn't too shy to blog but I am. I am so guarded on facebook. I don't want anything to come back to me that I regret saying. I love people unlike me that say whatever is on their mind.

I am much like you, I guess. I just plug away as often as I can.

It is very sad to see blogs just fading away - in some cases I try really hard to keep in touch via email, with mixed success :-(

Turning into a funny world with all this internet socializing.

Making friends and enemies face to face is getting to be old hat.

Guilty!!! But I'm trying desperately to find a part of my day where I can sit and write, even if it's just an update of our going-ons. When I started my blog, Noah was just a wee little one and I had plenty of time in the house. Now? Not so much. But I miss blogging every day. I try to keep my head (at least) in the game by keeping up with all of you!! :)
