The Truth of it All

Yesterday progressed well. I was able to repair one vent properly and fix the GFI switch. The other vent will be special order but it still functions as far as keeping water out.

"Camping" at Myrtle Beach is a loose term that invokes ideas of bonfires and camping by the water with the sounds of the surf at night. In reality one is placed in a treeless sandy field with enough real estate to park the RV and a car and nothing more.

The heat is unbearable. The campground is a mass of water and sewer hoses, electrical wires and folding chairs.

I don't know what we were thinking because we knew better from having been here many years ago. How could tens of thousands of red necks be wrong? They love this place. Their large, tan and tattoo laden bodies consume beer all day. They ride golf carts like it is a job and loudly discipline their spawn.

The lucky campers are situated at the base of a nearby condo complex where they enjoy the shade of the building that blocks the morning sun.

We'll be moving along soon.
