Travel Day

Yesterday I got my travel on. I just love this Google Latitude that lets me see where I was, and when, and how far.

The RV looked fine. I winterized it but ran into a hitch with the pump and was unable to pump antifreeze throughout the system. At the time I thought the pump was bad but about ¾ the way home I realized that I did not turn the bypass valve. So’ I’ll nee to blast down again before a hard freeze.

I had lunch with friends on the water front. I was left eating chicken breast and salad while they ate tuna rare with crab cakes and fried flounder.

Afterwards I headed to pick up a bushel and a peck of fresh oysters. One bushel was for a friend and the peck is for me. An oyster is 1 point on weight watchers, and that means I can eat 31 in a day.

So I’m driving back around 3 PM and I get a call from my friends that I just ate with and she tells me Edwin is in the ER with strange feelings, numbness and his right hand was seizing.

In about an hour he finds out that he has neurotoxins in his system from the tuna. The doctor explains that most large game fish if not handled properly (refrigerated) can develop these toxins. Fortunately he was okay in about an hour.
