It looked chewed tobacco or a sack of crap; maybe a blend of the two.
“Try some.”
“What is it Norm?”
“Homemade jerky”.
“Ah Norm, what kind of meat is it?”
“London broil baby…nothing but the finest”.
I reached in the bag, took out a piece and took a bite of the best jerky I ever tasted. Norm smiled and asked me how much I wanted to buy.
I put in an order for a pound, half peppery and half sweet.
I walked next door to my little young northern yankee secretary to explain what Norm had. I figured people didn’t walk around downtown
I’ll have to give her credit. She was nibbling on a piece and put in a 2 pound order.

Up here in the Great White North we are actually quite familiar with jerkey. I've got a brother-in-law who makes his own, although it's usually made out of venison which disgusts me. London broil sounds so much better!
Mmm jerky! I love the stuff and can only imagine how good that tastes!!!
Julia loves beef jerky. Tom & I do too.
mmm jerky!!!!! I love good jerky!
Judy, I'll toss a bag in the suitcase.
Zig, can you eat it now or only dream about it?
OMG, I LOVE good jerky!!! One of Barry's friends sent some venison jerky home with him last year and I was addicted to the stuff...wish I were in your office right now....Hey, maybe we can trade chair massage for some jerky?? I could write it off as a business trip....LOL!!!
*drool*
I would have ordered a two pound bag too...mmmmm.
I found some really good jerky in Omaha, NE made out of Elk. It was very tasty. Some people thought it was too strong, but I liked it.
Mmmm... jerky goes good with sailing.
The saying goes... "Don't knock it until you try it!"
Braces and jerky = not fun.
I always thought jerky was a Southern thing, too, until we lived in Michigan for a while. They actually have jerky stores there! Think about it, stores that only sell jerky. They have beef jerky, elk jerky, venison jerky, buffalo jerky and turkey jerky. It kind of freaked me out when I saw one of these stores for the first time.
I don't do jerky. I have never been able to get into that.
Yeah, have you jerky lovers ever heard the saying, "you are what you eat"?
Oh Terry...if they made calamari jerky you would be on board.
