Man Times...the memories....

Me playing golf today in 68 degree weather.

Prime tailgating.

Chris watching the kitchen while others graze.

Feasting on his first country ham and grits.

It is so weird seeing the two of you in a picture together - surreal even.
Did he take that picture of you golfing? If he did I'm totally impressed!
And what did you think of my pathetic old jersey? I miss it :)

Isn't it strange to golf on a brown golf course?

Looks like you two had a great time!

Really, the brown grass looks so awful. Even worse than here during a very bad drought.

But it's cool to put a face to the name and to see Chris sharing all that bizarre man-crap that you blog about when you're not talking about dog shit and St. Croix and the stock market and dog shit, and the horses and dog shit....

Ali….the jersey was fantastic. People here knew it was an original “95” the year the team started when they saw it.

Chris did take that picture.

I agree it was weird to see us together. The first day we would look at each other like “what are you doing here…you’re supposed to live in the blogosphere”.

Now let me explain the brown grass. Our best golf course grasses are Bermuda grass or Zoysia grass. Both are warm weather grasses. In the winter they go dormant and turn brown to store up sugar and nutrients for next season. As soon as the night stays around 50 the grass will green up again.

The brown grass is alive but not growing.

Some clubs over seed winter rye grass. This is a temporary winter green fix but is a nutrient stealer for the summer grass so it is not a good practice.

Chris got to witness first hand a dog shit episode. So it all came together.

Micky…we had fresh oysters on the half shell, mussels, brats, and burgers.

I'm craving country ham again. If I lived there, I'd be 400lbs. easy.

As Larry would say, "WHat's not to like?".

Thanks for the awesome weekend Reggie and Gigi!!

I saw the shells laying about the pavement!
Steam me clams, steam me mussels but you leave those cherrystones and big ass cohogs as the are. I eat them raw! I used to buy cohogs as big as my hand and eat them in the parking lot. People would wonder! Ha!

Thanks for all the visits this last week...I just caught up on your blog.Does a fat dog fart??? haaaaaa. We had a border namaed Patience when I was born. She had her 13 puppies the night my mom had me. Which of course made me number 14. Mom could put me out on the front porch and that dog would grab me by the back end of the diaper if I tried to wander off. IT may explain my penchant for hearing noise no one else can hear...well it's either that or my six other personalities.

That tailgating looked like FUN!!!

Micky-T. Where have you seen the word "quahog" spelled with a co?

Funny about the Border Collie Hope. They'll do that for sure.

I remember this golf shot. It went left...no damn wonder I was lined up left.
