Plain Old Spaghetti and My Conch

Twice in the past two weeks I have eaten a good old plain spaghetti and meatballs at a restaurant and they tasted the same and exactly as I wanted. Once was in St Croix and again last night at the club. I ate the whole plate both times. Sometimes plain, simple, comfort food is the best.

I’m playing golf today. The weather is perfect for golf.

Sunday Gigi and I pick up our Yankee hay from New York. The hay is twice as expensive but the bales are twice as heavy so we are getting a good deal.

I called down to the island last night and talked to Peter. I was checking on Terry and didn’t want to bother Michael again. She is doing well after her surgery I hear. I know it is going to kill her not being so active in the coming weeks and months during her recovery.

I still haven’t finished boring a hole in my conch shell so I can blow it. The darn thing is harder than concrete. My arm is sore from sawing off the tip with a hack saw. The shell sure is beautiful.

That's what everyone keeps telling me. I have two but ain't too handy. I can't figure out how to tighten the chuck.

What would you use...the little egg shaped grinder thing?

Hey... what's the hay for?

I have three horses that live here.

I'd make a suggestion about which tools might work better. We have several of them in our garage, but damned if I know what they're actually called!

Good spaghetti is hard to find, either too watery or too sweet is all I find.

OK Reggie my man! I am now craving spaghetti. Thanks. It's 11pm and way too late to eat.

How long to you go back to St. Croix. As I have 3 years of college left, my vacation time and funding is very limited so let me live vicariously through yoy...

Hey Reg. Peter said you'd called. Getting in touch with me was a bit difficult. I spent most of the time at the hospital and couldn't use a cell phone there.

Terry is home and doing well, she's napping now. We'll give you a call soon. She hasn't been talking to her favorite people, because they inevitably make her laugh, and it hurts to laugh. :)

Good luck with the conch - they are harder then hell. I think most people who work with them here use heavy duty band saws.

Sometimes comfort food is the best. I already called my mom to request stew and dumplings for Sunday.
