Just a few More Things

I can’t stand country music or the culture of country music. I’m not sure why I am so militant about this. I hate the big hats, the boots, and the voices all sound similar.

I am purchasing long term care insurance soon so I will be assured that someone will wipe my butt if I cannot.

We have a big weekend planned. Tonight is a big wine dinner at the club. These are always fantastic. Then we take the RV to Southport, NC. I come back Sunday and leave Gigi and three dogs.

I had to order a new antenna for my Jeep. The CD works great but the radio fades.

I have absolutely no problem parallel parking.

I would rather jab a sharp stick in my eye that have to see the movie Hairspray.

One other thing…I prefer store bought pimento cheese spread to any homemade spread.

This is too bad because I make an amazingly awesome pimiento cheese made with 3 cheeses. And I know how the Hunnicut house likes cheese. And I was just about to hit the road to your house with a basket of wine and pimiento cheese and Carr's Cracked Pepper Water Crackers....but now, I've turned off the car, gone back inside, put on my pjs, and gotten on the internetz...

Wait....I've never had three cheeses. Do tell.

Did you ever see the original "Hairspray" with Rikki Lake? Still not a thought provoking movie, but it was funny!

The original Hairspray is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Oh good! I hate country music too (and the hats and boots). But I was brought up having to listen to that stuff....in RI no less! That's all my father ever listened to on the radio except for the oldies show on Sunday (THAT was a real treat.
Have a great week-end guys!

I can't parallel park. They did away with teaching it in drivers ed when I was in school and I never learned to do it.

Sad huh.

Well, darling Reg, I like to start with an ultra sharp cheddar, some swiss and some asiago, all of which are grated pretty finely. Add 1 jar of pimientos, some mayonnaise, salt/pepper to taste, some cayenne, and the secret weapon--finely minced jalapenos from a jar. there's probably some other things I add depending on what's in the fridge--maybe some minced vidalia onion? Keep in fridge overnight. Enjoy with wine... nice, cold white wine.

I love store bought pimento cheese. My MIL made pimento cheese for a party and I spit it out after the first bite. Store brand rules!

And Jessy...I prefer Ruth's.

Ruth's Pimento Cheese is the best! Something about the faux orange color makes it delicious! :) Ruth's is also the only brand my hubby will eat. I tried substituting another brand (I was sneaky and put it in the Ruth's container) and he called me to tell me the pimento cheese sandwich I made him for lunch was rancid. He thought the cheese had spoiled!!!! Ha ha! That was a mean trick and I decided to never do that to him again!
