Odds and Ends II

Attention ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and all the ships at sea. Disappointing news for me and Gigi...yesterday the Pope says that I’m going to hell if I’m not Catholic. We’ll take that under advisement.

I had a tactile treat this morning. After guffawing at Gigi stepping in a steaming pile of dog pooh yesterday, I got the pleasure of having a warm dingle berry about the size and shape of a kidney bean drop on my bare foot as Haley entered the house. That was interesting.

I might give Zig and Ali a call soon. I’ve wanted to talk to them again.

We booked our favorite house yesterday for our winter vacation in St Croix. I love that house.

I was accused by Liv last weekend that I wasn’t southern enough. How could that be? I was born and raised in the south. I eat southern stuff and like all things southern.

Example of non-Southern behavior: you put sugar on your grits.

I have woken up in the middle of the night on occasion and been surprised to step in one of Rex's little gift wrapped nuggets on my way to the bathroom.

That Pope thing pisses me off. (Sorry...)

You SHOULD call us - I was just telling Zig the other day that I wanted to talk to you again!

Putting sugar on grits is southern behavior. It is very common in North Carolina. Eating soppin' syrup isn't southern in North Carolina but it is acceptable no matter how disgusting in Alabama.

You stand corrected madam.

Terri...yes, I thought I had that heaven thing all figured out. Bet John Paul wouldn't have declared that.

I always pay attention to the Pope even though I'm not Catholic. In the 60's we had a real mean ass Pope Paul.

I think you just said that to make sure I was reading your blog. I actually believe I said that I felt like you were more southern in person than on your blog...

Pope Benedict is working very hard to ubdo all the good John Paul did. I don't appreciate being called a lesser Christian. Or does that not count since I was baptized and confirmed Catholic? Whatever. The guy gives me the creeps and I can't forget his Hitler Youth past. (No offense to anyone. These are solely my opinions. Just as I choose not to remain or raise my children as Catholics.)

Guffawing about someone else stepping in steaming pooh will get you the dingle berry karma every time.....Watch out!!
